NEW NAME AND LOGO FOR OUR CENTER

The Center for Spiritual Living-Tahoe Truckee has a new name, Center for Spiritual Living, Tahoe-Truckee. The unanimous cheers as Rev. Sandra shared the unanimous decision made at Congress this year led us to move forward with the name change without delay!

The decision to change the name was based on a large-scale identity study conducted by our parent organization International Centers for Spiritual Living (formerly Religious Science International).

The result of that process indicated that the name Center for Spiritual Living was more welcoming and caused less confusion than the previous name. We found that many people who were attracted to our empowering and positive spiritual message were staying away because our name was confusing.

Even though our name is new, we continue to teach spiritual principles that empower people to live lives with a personal relationship to God. We provide spiritual tools to transform personal lives and to make the world a better place. We encourage community service and working to create harmony, peace and greater understanding between one another.

The Center for Spiritual Living provides a range of activities, including Sunday services each week at 10:00 a.m., with a deepening and centering meditation service from 9:25 to 9:50a.m., ongoing classes on spiritual living, psychological principles, and on sacred literature and practices.

We also offer a Sunday youth program during the service. Each month we have various social activities and during the warmer months we take time out to serve our greater community in keeping our Tahoe area pristine through our service to Adopt-A-Highway.

The Center for Spiritual Living teaches a spiritual way of life, providing support, healing and community to connect and empower the spirit, mind, and body.
